Hi!

Thx for all man, great job for good songs!

For BB S4 ost available by request, how can i make this request?
Or just wait couple days for "dream again"...

@coolandluck

Great user name, by the way. You're welcome, of course.

Basically, when I have completed this season's bootleg (when the season ends--5 more episodes) I was thinking of offering the download as by request only because I've had hundreds of downloads in the last several weeks but very few comments, particularly "thank you" notes. I may however rethink this position as it seems rather silly to expect people not to leech. I do this work for me and I have subsequently chosen to share it with strangers. A "thank you" would be nice once in awhile.

I'm sorry, I forgot to answer your question. Click on my profile and then under contact you'll find my e-mail address. Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you the download link, once the season ends. Take care.

Hey, that's fantastic work you did. Couldn't find the arturo Salas song anywhere.

Thank you for this and the other season.

Il Idioto said...

@Ouat et Veur?

No worries. I found the Arturo Salas track here:

http://www.hdmusicnow.com/artists/narcocorrido.html

You can listen to the track, and record it if you have Freecorder 4.

Thank you for the comment, Coolandluck, I didn't mean to sound rude, I only wish that people would read the comments before they e-mail me their requests or questions. Oh, well. Looks like just 3 more episodes until the end of the season, unless I am very much mistaken.

The sondtracks for BB Seasons 1-3 were amazing. It must be quite a task to gather all these songs together, so thanks for doing so! I can't wait for Season 4.

Il Idioto said...

@MDR
Thanks for your comments. Most of the tracks are very easy to find, but others, such as Season 1's "Cruisin" and "A Gosar," Season 2's "Star-Spangled Banner," and Season 3's "Satin Lover A," were extremely difficult to find. Of course, a number of the tracks were shared with us from visitors to my site. I think that season 3 is my favorite. Season 4's music is growing on me, but it is still my least favorite. Though there are still, however, a few exceptional tracks, such as "Truth" and "Flyentology (Cassettes...)."

Il Idioto said...

There will be no need for you to request this download as I have decided to post the download link as usual, after the season ends. Depending on how difficult the final episode's tracks are to find, the bootleg will be available for download via Megaupload and Kickass Torrent on 10/09/11 at the earliest. I may have to suspend the torrent depending on the number of leeches I have--suffice it to say I expect this number to be extremely high.

Done!

Grazie, signore Idioto.

I'm a little curious about the music that plays during the final credits. Do you think it was composed by Dave Porter?

Il Idioto said...

No worries. I believe that it was track 41 by Danger Mouse and Daniel Luppi (feat Norah Jones).

For #27 the Mozart track Concerto For Flute, Harp and Orchestra in C major, the artist is Capella Istropolitana under the direction of Richard Edlinger.

Great work on the compilation, by the way. Very impressive!

Could you give me more information? How can I verify this information?

By the way thank you for the kind words.

Re: The Mozart track, it's from the Chill with Mozart compilation from Naxos.

Il Idioto said...

@ Anonymous

How can I verify that this is the correct version? As you must know there are probably hundreds of versions of this song and they are all very, very similar, as classical pieces are prone to be. How do you know for a fact that that is the correct version?

Anonymous said...

HI Il Idioto,
Sorry I can't give you more info, but I assure you that's the correct version.
Congrats once again on tracking down all the music.

Il Idioto said...

@ Anonymous

Thanks for the info. I will replace the track with yours. If you're right, as I suspect you are, then all's well, but even if you're wrong it's still one version of the same track, right--win, win. Thank you very much for the info.

Il Idioto said...

For those of you who are monitoring this thread, there have been several updates that you may be interested in--6 new tracks and 1 corrected track.

jbsilly said...

Thanks really appreciate it wouldn't of been able to find the arturo salas track if not for your site

Il Idioto said...

@ jbsilly

No worries. That track as well as tracks 40-42, and 44 were the hardest to find.

Thanks bud.

Thank you so much for all this music! I agree with you that 'Truth' and 'Flyentology' are exceptional tracks; I've lost count of the number of time I've listened to these.
Thank you again for all your work in putting this together!

Was linked to your blog via a fellow BB fan on Livejournal. Wow, thanks so much for compiling these collections! The quality of music on this show really warrants official soundtrack releases for each season, so it's a shame AMC can't do it. Nonetheless, your efforts in hunting these tracks down is exceptional. Keep up the great work!

Il Idioto said...

@ hungryhippo11

Thanks for your comments and you are very welcome. I agree with you completely. That's the only reason I began these projects--AMC wasn't forthcoming with the music. It wasn't until season 2 that they released the first soundtrack. Even that wonderful Cartoon Network 15 minute show on Adult Swim, "Metalocalypse," has offered an OST for each season. I have no idea what AMC was thinking. Whoever makes those decisions should probably be fired as they have lost a great deal of revenue for their company. Can you imagine how much money they could have made with these soundtracks? There have been over 1500 downloads of this upload alone via Megaupload, and that doesn't include the torrents and the bootlegs of my bootlegs. Yes, there are a great number of major pricks out there offering my bootlegs as their own. Why? Money, I guess. They get ad revenue from the visitor numbers (hits), I guess. It's such a waste of effort for those looking for the bootlegs and it's so deceitful. I have found my bootlegs reuploaded to various file servers on Chinese, Russian, and other nationalitys' websites--and not one has credited me, by the way. They have neither, doubtless, thanked me after initially downloading it from me either. Such assholes. I made these bootlegs because they weren't available elsewhere. By making these bootlegs I am showing my respect and thanks to the artists. I am not making any money from them, as they aren't mine to sell, but by making these available to others, doesn't common courtesy still enter into it. If I offer them and you download it, shouldn't you say, "thanks." Common courtesy, right? I didn't write this music. I am not the performer in these songs, but I did compile them together and offer to share them with you, so give me my due. I've even seen my bootlegs offered in .flac, in .flac! They were not originally in .flac so what's the purpose? Deceit. I'm very sorry for the tirade. I needed to get it out.

hungryhippo11 said...

That's cool--I'd be really angry and frustrated too if I put my hard earned effort into something and had people ripping me off and claiming it as their own. Frankly I'd be spamming them anonymously with abuse translated into their respective languages! I agree, it is common courtesy to at least 'comment and credit', so to speak, when grabbing someone's download or work. It's a way of paying repsect to the creator for their efforts. Guess you just have to put it down to there being a lot of assholes out there in internet-land :(

I think AMC have really missed out on a major opportunity in neglecting to offer merchandise for the show, and not just the music. You see the crew and Vince wearing official t-shirts...and they never think to sell them? Then you hear about how they did some cross-promotion with the Rage video game and Dodge to make a little extra dough. It amazes me why they have to do this at all when they could make this money through soundtracks and other merch. While I don't want to show to be over-commodified either, it's very strange that you can't get any official anything from the show aside from that merged soundtrack and the DVDS/Blu-Rays. Utterly puzzling.

Il Idioto said...

@ hungryhippo11

Thanks again for your support. I have to vent sometimes.

You're right about everything you said. They missed the boat. I don't like seeing "commercials" within a film or television series, especially the more obvious ones such as the "Rage" references, but when I was researching the bootleg and looking at the "Rage" material that was available, I had to offer Mark Lanegan's, "Burning Jacob's Ladder," as a bonus to the season 4 bootleg. It's definitely one of my favorite tracks on the bootleg. AMC missed a big opportunity, but maybe they can fix it, if they read our comments. Hee. By the way, have you seen this? It's awesome:

http://www.buzzfeed.com/halfpint/batman-and-robin-in-breaking-bad-4cfd

Again, thanks for the comments and support. It's because of people like you, as well as these other folks in the comments section, that make it worthwhile. That and the music, right, hungryhipp11? Take care.

Thank you so much for your work on the BrBa compilations.

I also agree about the merchandising issue. How many of us fans would kill for a nice shirt? A commemorative mega OST boxset that spans the series after it wraps up next season? I'm sure fans would pay good money for decent merchandise from the show, but it seems BrBa gets no love in that department - it all goes to Mad Men and The Walking Dead.

Maybe next year, eh?

Well, thank you again, your work is certainly appreciated.

Love to hear the requests for a BB soundtrack. In this case, however, AMC is not to blame. Sony is. Perhaps there's a person at Sony that requests for a BB soundtrack can be sent to? If folks are interested, I can look into that and get back to you all.
